Start a Meeting
Every meeting in Lewis County started with a few members who saw a need. If there’s a town, a day, or a time where a meeting would help, you can start one. It’s easier than you might think.
Why start a meeting?
- Reach alcoholics where there’s no meeting yet, or at a time that works for them.
- Give newcomers a meeting, and a home group, close to home.
- Make service and commitment part of your own recovery.
- Grow your circle of sober friends.
It’s easy
All you need is two or three committed members, a place to meet, and a format. There are no fees and no approval process. The basket covers rent and coffee, and District 28 will help you get listed so people can find you.

Ready for the next steps? The New Group Packet walks you through finding a place, registering your group, handling the basket, building a home group, and electing a GSR.
Need a place to meet?
The XII Step Club in Chehalis is a safe, welcoming space used only for recovery, and it sees many newcomers. Ask about open time slots.
